1. Local Data Processing

Scanner Pro is built with a privacy-first architecture. All image processing, cropping, and optical character recognition (OCR) occurs locally on your device within your web browser. We do not automatically transmit or store your raw images on our servers.

2. Camera Access

We require access to your device's camera strictly for the purpose of scanning documents within the app. This video stream is processed in real-time on your device and is never secretly recorded, transmitted, or analyzed remotely.

3. Cloud Uploads (Optional)

If you choose to use the "Upload & Download PDF" feature, the finalized PDF document is temporarily sent to our secure servers to facilitate the download and backup process. You retain full ownership of these files.

4. Local Storage

We use your browser's IndexedDB (local storage) to temporarily save your scanned pages so you do not lose your work if you accidentally refresh the page. This data is stored entirely on your device and is automatically wiped once you download your final PDF.
